Joint Ventures The Next Step
You can generate a decent income with your own product. If you create a rock-solid product and do all of the right things in terms of
promotion, you will generate sales. If you find a sweet spot in the market, your product can become relatively successful.
If you’re flying solo, however, you won’t reach your full sales potential. The most successful internet marketers realize that it’s easier to achieve success if you’re traveling with joint venture partners. There’s no substitute for good partners when it comes to making big money.
How many more sales could you make if you had a team of big-time marketers aggressively promoting your product? Can you imagine what would happen if you had some of these well-known forces backing your product? Now, think about the impact having several top marketers as partners could mean to you!
The Power of Joint Ventures
You must have an affiliate program if you have your own product. When other people are pushing your product, the sales figures naturally inflate. A run-of-the-mill affiliate program isn’t enough, though. You want more than a handful of marketers pitching your product as a part of their overall business plan. You want to establish relationships with the kind of marketers who can really make a difference.
That’s what joint ventures are all about. If you can persuade talented marketers to promote your product in a concerted and serious manner, the sky really is the limit. If you’re serious about getting the most out of your product and your IM business, you need to be serious about joint ventures.
Unfortunately, making those connections and setting up those joint ventures isn’t always easy. It can be hard to recruit JV partners if you and your product aren’t known commodities. People approach the large list holders every single day with invitations to promote products. If you want to get things moving, you need a good JV proposal that will interest the kind of partners you need.
Too many marketers think of a joint venture partnership as nothing more than a slight variation on the standard affiliate program. That’s a doomed strategy. You can’t hope to build quality joint ventures unless you have a smart, specific plan. You need to approach the process the right way.
What You Need for Joint Ventures Success
Building joint ventures the smart way requires a few things. First, you must understand the different ways to structure a JV Second, you need to understand how to build JVs that will benefit both parties. Third, you must figure out how to make connections with the people you need as JV partners. Fourth, you should know the tricks of the Joint Ventures trade–the various ways to transform a ho-hum offering into something thrilling. Fifth, you must be secure in your ability to organize, administer and implement the joint venture plan.
If you don’t handle all of those areas correctly, you won’t get the results you need.
In other words, you need to go to JV school if you’re serious about making the most money possible from your product.
You could try to learn the ropes on your own, of course. Be prepared to experience at least a few failures before things get moving if you take that route. One slip along the way is all it takes to derail an otherwise promising JV plan.
That’s why you should seriously consider learning the details of JV construction and implementation from someone with extensive experience. This is one area of internet marketing that really calls for assistance and instruction. This is an area of IM that truly justifies an investment in quality training. You should make a point of finding proven JV recommendations and information.
Once you’ve learned the ropes and have a good blueprint in your hands, you can use internet marketing joint ventures to transform your product into the next Big Thing!
Don’t Go Broke Trying to Build an Online Business

Trying to Buy Success
How much are you spending to learn the tricks of the Internet marketing trade? Are you depleting your checking account as you search for the ideal internet money plan? Are you becoming an IM product addict, investing your cash in anything and everything that might improve you bottom line?
You’re not the only one convinced that the only way to make money involves spending it in copious quantities. Far too many Internet marketers are doing the exact same thing.
And that’s totally understandable. It’s perfectly reasonable to purchase new products and information to refine your already-successful business. There’s nothing crazy about acquiring new information and products in order to stay abreast of changes in the business. Making those purchases before you have a profitable business is a different matter, though.
Buying new tools to stay ahead of the games is very different from desperately making purchases in hopes of finding base-level success.
You want to handle this the right way. You want to avoid being the serial buyer whose efforts only add to his or her debt.
Making Smart Purchases
How can you avoid dumping too much cash into things you don’t really need? It starts by building a rock-solid foundation. If you strip away all of the details, tricks, options and creative new ideas from Internet marketing, it’s a simple proposition.
You need to have something to sell. You must have a way to sell the product. You need to bring traffic to your the site you’ll use to make sales.
That’s IM in a nutshell. All of what you do needs to relate directly to one or more of those core basics.
So, you must work to create a strong presence on all three of those fronts. When you buy something, it must directly address one of those three foundational needs.
Before you start reaching for details, tweaks, adjustments and tricks, you need to develop your core means of making online money. You can start experiencing real IM success after that foundation is in place. Then, you can pay for those new products with house money instead of digging a hole for yourself.
Building a Smart Foundation
You can start building that money making foundation without going broke in the process. This is what you need to do.
- Learn how Internet marketing works on a holistic, big picture level. You need to hear, straight from the proverbial horse’s mouth, how things fit together and what really works.
- Focus on ways to boost traffic. Traffic is one of the three core needs mentioned above. It’s also the most important one you’ll address. Until you have adequate traffic, you won’t be able to find out if your products are attractive or if your copy is converting. You need as much traffic as you can get–and you need it quickly.
- Secure ongoing support. A smart ebook can be worth its weight in gold. Instructional videos can really help. However, there’s nothing like developing an ongoing connection with a coach or mentor who has a history of success and a willingness to show you the ropes. Quality ongoing coaching makes the learning curve less steep and prevents you from wasting time, energy and resources on things you don’t need.
- Don’t overexpose yourself. You want to meet your objectives without risking significant losses. Find opportunities to get the essentials at bargain prices. Look for a business coaching program or mentoring arrangement that doesn’t cost more than you can afford.
How and why to build an email list

If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a million times. The money is in the list. List marketing is probably the most powerful way to create a profitable home based business. You must learn how to build a list in order to reach your potential.
Why it works
Marketing research reveals that most people don’t make a purchase after one exposure to a marketing message. Repeated encounters are a key to generating sales. The best way to reach someone more than once is by making them a part of your subscriber list.
Additionally, people are more prone to spend their money with people the trust and know. List building allows you to build a relationship with your subscribers. That increases your credibility, producing more sales.
How to do it
Building a list is a rock-solid way to take advantage of a good home based business opportunities online, and it beings with a single simple page – the squeeze page. A squeeze page exists to do one thing and one thing only. It should persuade the reader to become part of your list. Anything else is completely extraneous.
In most cases, marketers encourage list opt-ins by offering something of value to the prospective customer in exchange for their contact information. This time-tested strategy can substantially boost your bottom line.
A great inducement isn’t enough to get the best results, however. It’s also critical to put together a squeeze page in the right manner. There are proven ways to build an optimal squeeze page. You should adopt those winning strategies. That means you’ll want to follow these three guidelines.
Squeeze page basics
First, your squeeze page should be free of all outgoing links with the exception of the “submit” button on your sign up form. You don’t want to provide your prospective customers with an “escape route” or distractions that may reduce conversions.
Second, the squeeze page should feature a powerful, brief message. You want people to take advantage of your inducement and to become a subscriber, not to complicate the situation. Remember, your squeeze page exists solely to generate sign ups. You should choose every word with that goal in mind.
Third, you need to treat the sign up process like a sale – you must “close the deal”. That means that you will need to make a strong, persuasive call to action as part of your sign up form. Make it clear to readers that they’ll benefit from the simple, free act of filling out your subscriber form.
Summary
A good inducement and a squeeze page built with these three recommendations will get the job done. That will give you the opportunity to develop an effective relationship with prospects. You’ll also be able to put your message in front of subscribers repeatedly.
You will dramatically improve your business by using these email list building secrets. The best marketers in the business rely on list building for a reason. The money really is in the list!
Get indexed, get ranked, get traffic
December 13, 2010 by Dustman

No one can deny that you need traffic to your website in order to succeed online. And free traffic beats everything else. So where do we get free traffic? Google and other search engines.
How does free search engine traffic work?
This is something you’ve experienced first hand countless times. You load up Google or another search engine. Type in something you’re looking for. And click one of the links that shows up. Well, the link you clicked on just send free traffic to that website owner. What need to figure out is how to get you free traffic.
If you’re like most people you only click links on the first page or two. In fact, the first page of results receives almost all the free traffic. And what’s more, the first 3 get over 70% of the clicks.
This means that to get any real traffic you need to be on the first page in Google. And that means you need to be “ranked” in the top 10 by Google. Which brings up..
What is SEO?
SEO means that your website is clearly about something specific, Google knows that that is and thinks others will agree and find your site useful. It’s a complex formula that only people working for Google know exactly. However, we do know a few things that count.
Getting indexed
Before your website can begin gaining ranking, you have to alert Google to it’s existence. This is called getting “indexed.” When your website gets indexed, Google stores information about it in their massive database.
Google needs to actually find your site in order to index it. And the best way for Google to find you is to get inbound links from other sites. Since some of these site will already be indexed, Google will follow the links on their pages and find you.
A couple of great places to do this are in your Twitter or Facebook profiles. Google visits these sites many times every day. So your new link will get indexed very quickly.
Gaining ranking
Once you have been indexed, you will start working on increasing your rank. Due to the massive size of the Google database – literally billions of pages – just getting indexed doesn’t do much for you.
There are three components of gaining ranking:
- Content
- Links
- Activity
Great content
This is also called on-page SEO. It’s critical that your page content is consistent with the keyword phrases you’re targeting. Clearly this article is about search engine optimization. One reason Google knows this is because the words search engine optimization appear inside it. And another way this is determined is by the other related phrases like traffic generation that are also in the article.
In addition to the content on the page, other things to keep in mind are the title tags on the page, and the domain name itself. Each of these plays a roles in Google determination about your site.
Link strategy
Next, you need to pay attention to the links to and from your site. The links to your site, as well as the sites you link to are important. With inbound links, you want to have more coming in than going out. The more inbound links you have the better your ranking will be.
One great way to get lots of inbound links is through web 2.0 sites. With this strategy what you do is write an article about the topic you’re targeting. Then you have to create multiple versions of this articles. Because you’re going to post a unique copy of it to lots of different websites. And quantity is the key here – so do lots and lots.
Make your site active
And lastly, it’s seems clear that Google expects important pages to be actively updated. A page that was created 3 years ago and hasn’t been touched since won’t rank well. Google expects you to be updating your site regularly. RSS feeds are an easy way to keep your content changing.
Comments from other people on your page are another fantastic way to keep your content updated. So, obviously, you need to get people to visit your site on your own, too. One simple method for doing this is to use forums.
Create profiles on lots of forums about your site’s topic. And post their often. And link back to yourself in your signature file. This generates even more links back to your site. And it also gets people to your web page.
Conclusion
It’s important that you do everything listed here. But let’s face it, writing multiple versions of the same article. Creating profiles on a ton of forums. And posting your articles and comments takes a lot of time. Which means you probably won’t end up doing it.
The good news is that there are automated software programs out there that will do this for you. So my best advice is to automate as much of this as you can. Otherwise, you won’t do it at all. And if you don’t do it, you simply will not ever get free traffic from Google.
Affiliate Marketing Revised
December 3, 2010 by Dustman
OK, forget everything you know about affiliate marketing. The simple truth is that the old rules no longer apply. And if you don’t change your tactics, you cannot survive.
The big lie
You’ve probably heard how easy it is to start an affiliate business. This is partially true. It is the easiest business you can possibly start. But “easier” doesn’t mean “easy”.
Here’s the ugly truth
And to make matters worse, you’ve taught to do it the hard way. The first thing you’re taught is to pick some great products. Next to look for easy keywords to target. Then to use keyword-based advertising to send visitors to the product. And finally get a fat check for all the sales. But, it’s all wrong.
Forget keywords
There was a time when this worked. But the competition has shot the price of keywords through the roof. So, throw it all away.
A brand new formula
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Follow this method and win again…
- Start using CPA marketing
- Instead of researching keywords, research demographics
- Do image ad marketing
Do CPA marketing instead of product promotion
CPA means Cost Per Action. It’s so much easier than promoting products. Because your visitor doesn’t have to buy anything. You earn a commission for having them perform an “action”. Such as filling in a form. And getting them to do this is so much easier.
Do demographics research
Don’t waste time researching keywords (see below). So spend your time doing demographics research. First, select the CPA offer you want to promote. Then go to a site like Quantcast.com. And find your target demographic.
Do image ad marketing
So you know what your promoting and you know who will be interested. You can target these exact demographics on display networks. And use images as your ads. No keywords required. The biggest advantage is price. Image ad clicks are much cheaper.
In closing
This is powerful method to make money online. Because it’s free to get started in CPA. You can buy image ad clicks for a fraction of keyword ad clicks. Display networks let you do demographics targeting. And getting them to take an action is much easier than making a sale.
7 reasons why you MUST have your own info product

Make Your Own Info Product.
Answer this question: What is the number one reason people get online everyday? The answer is simple – they’re looking for
information. This is so ubiquitous a quest that Google handles 400 million queries a day! OK, so what’s it to you? It means that you have a massive opportunity to give people exactly what they’re looking for – information. And when done correctly, you can get paid for it, too!
Info marketing 101
First of all, an info product business is the least complex business possible. You develop your own info product that is nothing more than information. And then sell it to people who want to learn the info in it. Sounds simple enough, right?
Market Your Own Info Product.
You’ve got the basic concept – exchange info for money. In order to be successful people need to want the information you’re providing. So the key is to figure out what people want. How can you find out what people want?
One easy way to figure it out is with a simple search. Visit answers.yahoo.com or similar sites and see what kinds of questions people are asking. You want to find something a lot of people are asking about. That people are having trouble solving. And solve the problem for them by writing your own info product on it.
Think about this:
If you’re worried about how to write and ebook. Put it this way: An info product is just a bunch of articles strung together. So instead of sitting down to write the whole thing. Focus on one article at a time. And when you have a collection, expand and embellish them and put them together into an ebook.
OK, what’s so hot about digital products? Funny you should ask . . . How about 7 reasons why:
1. Simplicity
Once it’s built it runs pretty much on it’s own. Custom support is all but non-existent. So you can just set it up and let it run. You’re building a completely automated business.
You have no physical inventory. You don’t have to ship anything. It’s digital.
2. Repurposing
After you’ve created a few ebooks. You can put together bigger more expensive information products. It’s a simple matter to merge a few ebooks into one. And you’ll be able to charge much more for this “new” product. Your customers will gladly pay more for a single bigger ebook. Instead of several small ebooks.
3. Resellers
Since it’s your product, you can offer other people the resale rights. Resell rights are very hot right now, because most people simply don’t have the time, money and effort it takes to create their own products. And the best part is you’re selling the same info product . . . but for 3 times the price for the rights!
4. Leverage
It’s your content, so you can use it in as many different ways as you want. Take parts of your own info product and turn it into a email training series. You can use this to build a list that you can marketing to again and again.
5. More leverage
You can also take parts of your ebook and turn it into smaller eBooks. These reports can then become lead generators for your ebook. You can give them away or even charge a small amount for them. And you’re creating targeted leads for your main product all along. You can even make these viral by allowing your affiliates to give them away. Which brings us to…
6. Affiliates
This is a real power strategy. Once you have your own product. You can get other people to promote it for you. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a bunch of other people doing your marketing for you? You can’t do this unless you have your own product.
7. Joint Ventures
Last, but definitely not least… Joint ventures are the biggest short cut to success known to man. So, I’d say this is the most important reason to have you own products. Because if you don’t have your own info product, you’ve got nothing to JV.
Summing it up
If you don’t want to sell digital products by now, then you haven’t been paying attention. You’ll become the ruler of your own fate. Because you’re the boss! So, decide to just start:
- Head over to Yahoo! answers
- Discover what questions are being asked
- Start writing
The steps on how to write an ebook are really that easy. Before you know it, you’ll have your own info product.
Using Web Audio for Success
November 29, 2010 by Dustman
There is no doubt that web page audio significantly increases results. In fact, not using audio is a big mistake. Audio increases opt-ins. It boosts sales, too.
But why?
It’s simple. Audio breaks the silence of the web. It adds a human touch to your site. And makes people feel they’re dealing with a real person. Basically, audio brings your site to life. Which fascinates greater interaction from your visitors.
Here are the benefits
Adding audio increases your profits in two ways. You will close more sales. And you’ll spend less getting those customers. You see, you’ll be able to skip the expensive copywriter. Just record some audio and add it to your site. Your honest message about your product will sell better than a professional copywriter.
And you will increase your subscriber opt-in rate. The reason this works so well is because people need to be told what to do. So you make an audio recording that says: Put your email and name into the form and submit. Just this one simple thing will boost opt-ins up to 315%!
Some web audio ideas
Add a welcome to my site message on your main page. Most websites are cold and in-human. This could be all it takes to get your visitor to decide to stay.
A guided tour. The same principle the we used to boost opt-ins applies. You just explain what to do first, then next, etc. That includes filling in your order form!
Testimonials for your product or service. A written testimonial is good. But audio testimonials are great! It’s much hard to fake an audio testimonial. So audio adds real believability. And that increases your results.
Power tip
Did you ever think of making a product just by recording some audio? You’ll be able to produce audio products faster than any other kind. Plus people love audio products. The great thing about audio products is people can take them with them on the go. And once you record the audio, you can pay someone to transcribe it for you. Then you’ve got an eBook, too – but it was easy to create!
Is it hard to add audio?
It’s so simple you won’t believe it. There are quite a few audio streaming software programs out there. The software does all the work. The program records and then converts the recording and generates an audio button. Just paste the code you copy from the software. So don’t let this stop you.
In closing
Let’s take another look at the benefits. Setting up some web audio will do wonders for all your results. You’ll get more sales. You will also increase your subscriber opt-ins. And don’t forget that you can easily create sales pages and products in a flash. You’ll be one of the few you use these strategies. So you’ll be one of the few reaping the rewards. Don’t be lazy! Add some audio today.
Sneaky Affiliate Tricks
November 27, 2010 by Dustman
Yes affiliate marketing rocks, but it’s really hard to get started. The reason is because there is a lot of competition. The challenge is to try and outdo other affiliates and think of ways to do a better job promoting. It’s also hard to figure out what to do because there’s a lot of information out there. But here’s one tip that almost no one is talking about.
Video marketing
The power of video is undeniable. People love watching videos and that’s why they’re everywhere. It’s so much easier to keep people’s attention with video. So why wouldn’t you use it in your affiliate business?
Here are a few ideas for creating affiliate videos:
- Testimonials
- Walk-throughs
- Record the order process
- Sneak peak
Do a testimonial video
It doesn’t get any easier than this. Just click record on your web cam and start talking. It does not need to be polished or pro. Seeing a real person on the other end helps your viewers make a buying decision. In truth, mistakes and mess-ups just make it more believable. You can literally just press record and talk. If you don’t want to be in front of the camera use one of the other methods.
Do a video walk-through
This one is a little more subtle. Make this more like a tutorial helping them use the product. And in the process you’re actually selling the product. As long as the product is good, the tutorial makes them want it. So, obviously, pick a good product to demo.
Ordering
This could be the most powerful method of all. Record yourself placing an order. Watching you make a live purchase will inspire your viewer like nothing else. First of all it’s what’s called “social proof”. Once they see you doing it, they feel more secure. It also build your viewers trust. They are much more likely to take your advice to buy when you’ve taken it yourself. And let’s not forget about good old fashioned envy. They see you getting the satisfaction of making the purchase and that makes them want it. You can add additional juice to this one with: In order to get to see the inside, you gotta buy the product.
Do a preview video
This one is perfect for building up the value of what you’re promoting. What you do is record a tour of the back end. You show them the entire contents of what they get. It also reduces the reservations of skeptics. It’s much easier to trust they’re getting something if they actually seen it.
Anyone can do it!
There’s no technical knowledge required. Some very easy to use programs make the videos for you. The software really does all the work So you don’t have to worry about the technical part of this at all. Keep focused on the rewards:
- More sales You will increase your affiliate sales when you start using videos. People love video, so please use them.
- Reduce refunds You’ll lose less of the commission your earn. Thanks to you people know what’s inside before buying. So, very few of them will cancel their order.
- Beat your competition! This is a really easy thing to do. But pretty much no one does it. That puts you ahead of the pack.
So get serious about your affiliate business and add video in now. The bottom line is that if you’re not using video, you’re losing money.
Email List Building Strategies
November 25, 2010 by Dustman
If you’re going to be successful in internet marketing, you need to build a list. It’s the number one key to opening the success floodgates. After it’s built, it’s yours to use any time you want. Just push a button and print money – literally.
How’s how to build a list:
Here’s what you need to build your list:
- Your Opt-in Page
- The Incentive
- The Opt-in Success Page
The Squeeze Page – The squeeze page is the first thing your visitor is going to see. It’s the page where you ask them for their email address. That’s why it needs to look like a professionally designed page. And have an easy to understand opt-in form. And have a clear call to action.
Failure to include a great “call to action” will result in failure. This is a definitive message that tells your visitor what to do. Without this your opt-in rate will plummet. Oddly, if you don’t make it clear, people will be confused and end up doing nothing.
You can take your opt-in page to the next level if you make it a video squeeze page. Adding video will help keep your visitors attention. It also allows you to tell them what to do several times. And you can have the video just tell them to fill in your form after it’s done playing.
It’s OK, if you’ve never made a video before. It’s very easy to hire people for a couple hundred bucks to make one for you. Or you can get email list tools that include video squeeze pages.
The Bribe – Next, you’ve got to figure out what your bribe is. You have to give people a compelling reason to give your their email. Email privacy is very important to most people. So make your “bribe” a good one!
The only way to make this work is to provide real value. That means you make it something people would actually want to receive. And something from which they can derive a benefit. Here’s some examples:
- A PDF report
- A piece of software
- A video tutorial
- An email series
It all boils down to content. And make it both helpful and informative. It goes without saying it must be free. If you make it good enough, they will give you their email in exchange.
Now, if you don’t know how to create the bribe don’t worry. Here again, you can hire freelancers to create this for you. You just pick the topic and they create the training. For example, you could have them write a 5-part email course. And you can get emails ghost written for about $20 – $25 each. So, a great premium will cost you around $100 – $150.
Or again, you can find complete list building packages for sale online that include an email series. Two critical aspects of using a follow up series. The first thing is that it delivers value to your subscribers. And second, it needs to make you money. The easiest way to do this is to market affiliate products in the emails. This is such a simple solution because you don’t have to create the product. And make money right away from your list.
The Opt-in Success Page – Finally, you need to consider your opt-in confirmation page. After subscribing to your list, your visitor is redirected to this page. A great thing to do here is provide some immediate value. This helps them feel they’ve made the right decision giving you their email. It also helps to build the relationship. So when they get your email, they’re happy to hear from you.
Again, a simple solution to this is to get an email marketing package that includes everything. You can also put the whole thing together on your own. And write it all yourself. Or hire ghost writers to write them for you.
Final thoughts
Whether you decide to build your email funnel yourself. Or pay a freelancer to write produce it all for you. Or if sign up for a “complete package” solution. It’s just important that you start today building your opt-in list. Once you’ve got it built. You’ve got a license to print money!
Affiliate Business Tips

Preselling for profit
If you want to make more money as an affiliate, you must presell.
Before we begin, we need to first define what preselling is. Preselling is both an art and a science. The goal is to get your reader prepped to make a purchase. Then sending them to the product sales page to make the purchase. When done correctly, your reader will not even notice.
In a nutshell, you provide value. Then send them to the sales page. We’ll get into how to do it correctly in a minute. But before we do, you need to know why it’s so important. Just a few of the reasons you want to presell.
- It builds trust – Once you have your readers’ trust, they will click your links more readily. And the more traffic you can send to the sale page, the more commissions you’ll earn.
- It takes your reader out of defense mode – Nobody likes to be sold something. By not doing that to them, your reader is less defensive. This means they are more open to what you’re saying. So your message gets across.
- It puts them in a buying mood – Now they’re open to hearing what you’re telling them. And in turn, they’re open to other messages, as well. For example, the sales message on the page you’re linking to. And being open to the information there means they are much more likely to buy.
- You make more money – They arrive at the product website prepped to buy. Open to the sales message and feeling safe. The only possible result is more sales!
- It increases customer satisfaction – Your referral now feels like they decided to buy. Instead of feeling pressured or “sold”. And this makes them feel better about the product they purchased.
- Your profits go up – A satisfied customer doesn’t ask for a refund. And that translates to more commission staying in your affiliate business.
Obviously, it’s important to presell. You make more money. And produce happier customers. That’s a clear win-win.
OK, so how do you do it?
You’ve learned the importance of preselling. And I hope you’re resolved to being preselling, too. You’re ready to learn how to do it properly. Like we talked about before, it’s an art. And it’s a science.
The art of preselling
First, you have to gain the trust of your reader, so they let their guard down. And the only method of doing this is to give exceptional value to your readers. The art of this is to provide enough information to be of value, but not enough to satiate the hunger. That is, they have to be wanting more when you refer them to the product sales page for the product you’re trying to sell. And because you’ve gained trust, they’re more receptive to the sales message and more likely to buy.
It’s also a science
There’s also a specific formula you need to follow.
First of all, it’s important HOW you present your information. You need to know where you’re going before you begin. Your goal is to sell the product you’re promoting. How can providing information accomplish this goal? One way is to give them enough info to whet the appetite, but not enough to satisfy it. Or you can give them so much information that it feels overwhelming to do what you’re talking about. In either case, the product you’re referring them to solves the problem for them.
But you can’t link to your affiliate link. You have directly to the home page of the product. When you do this, you’re click-throughs go way up. But how will you earn affiliate commissions if you don’t use your affiliate link? There’s a trick to make this work… You use the “covert cookie” strategy.
You also want to link to the sales page from inside your article’s content. People are used to clicking on hyperlinked words to get information they’re looking for. And when the words are in context like this, it makes perfect sense for your reader to click them.
Using this system, you’re virtually guaranteed to increase your affiliate business success.
Now for the bad news…
This process is not easy – at all! Let’s talk about everything required to put this plan into action: Awesome content. First and foremost, you have to be able to write a great article that provides valuable information. To do that you have to have enough information to be valuable and be able to present it in a useful way. Writing to presell. First, you have to give good information. And you have to make the content accessible in order to provide value. While at the same time making them want more. Or make the information so overwhelming they realize they can’t do it on their own.
Product selection. After that you have to figure out which products you want to promote. Even if you can pull off writing and great article. You’ve wasted all your effort if the product doesn’t sell well.
Techy stuff. One of the keys to this system is using “covert cookies” for the tracking. This is fairly simple – you use a 1 X 1 image and set the “source” to your affiliate link. (But if you do it wrong, you won’t get paid for the traffic you send.)
In closing:
Now you’re armed with the information needed to effectively presell. And doing this increases your affiliate commissions by over 500%! The important thing is to use these techniques for everything you promote as an affiliate. Take action now. Put in the effort to reap the greater rewards.
